While undergoing structural transformation, the need for which has accelerated in the wake of the financial crisis, businesses not only require fast and flexible ways to react, but also persuasive business strategies and models.

How does the comparatively far reaching German Codetermination Act measure up? Does it lead to long-term gains in efficiency? And does it constitute a locational advantage in economically hard times as well? Or does it become more apparent in a crisis that some regulations go too far and actually impede important business decision-making?

We discussed these questions and perspectives about a reform to co-determination with renowned experts on 2 March 2010 in Berlin.
